Omigosh omigosh omigosh!
I absolutely cannot wait for Miss USA weekend. I think one of the most exciting things about this year is that we haven’t seen a solid front runner emerge from this group of contestants. I don’t think I’ll be identify that “it” girl until show time.
I’ve combed through the girls’ official headshots and further based my picks on my favorites at states. If I fell in love with them in the fall, odds are I’ll fall in love with them all over again in Vegas after months of prep for the big show. We’ve witnessed some fabulous transformations through the years and I can’t wait to see these gorgeous girls on stage.
At first, I thought it was going to be a serious battle of the blondes but after making my selections, it’s anyone’s game to win.
(T5) Alabama: Is it just me or does Mary Margaret remind you of Catherine Webb? I honestly had to do a double take.
Arizona: Arizona state director Britt Boyse knows how to bring the heat. At just 5’6, this bombshell is going to set that USA state on fire.
Florida: I’m going to channel my inner Miss Florida USA this week by rocking the center part. Although a natural brunette, she’s my top choice in the battle of the blondes.
(T5) Illinois: Her headshot is straight Miss Universe worthy. She wore one of my favorite state gowns, hello sheer black sleeves and feathered bottom.
Kentucky: As first runner up to Miss Kentucky Teen USA last year I was worried Allie wouldn’t be able to make the quick transition to Miss but boy was I wrong. She is definitely a contender.
(T5) Maryland: M-A-R-Y-L-A-N-D! Gotta show my love to Kasey who is seriously one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. And she’s stunning to boot. With a top 5 placement at Miss Teen USA 2009 and D&D on her side, she’s in it to win it.
Minnesota: She had me at high bun at states. Her headshot isn’t a stand out and she better bring the sexy at Miss USA.
(T5) New Jersey: Holy smokes, this girl is a freagin’ knockout. And because she looks just as great in her candids as she does in her headshot I know she’s the real deal.
Ohio: Ok who cares if she wore one of my least favorite dresses at states? She still managed to pull the win! Get it girl.
South Carolina: I adored Megan as a teen titleholder and pumped for her making it to Miss USA. Bummed her headshot isn’t doing her justice!
South Dakota: Someone give this girl a commitment award. Girlfriend has competed every year since 2005 for goodness sakes.
Virginia: By way of Texas, Shannon finally napped a state title in Virginia. Oh and she’s got one hell of a bikini body.
